Gloria Devan
Interior Designer

Allied Member ASID
B.F.A., California College of Art
Dedication to art is what inspires Gloria as an interior designer, artist, and eclectic collector.  In her career as an interior designer, her vision and taste celebrate the timeless and all that is comfortably elegant.  It is the cherished knowledge of art history that allows Gloria to juxtapose objects of various cultures and times with the natural, therefore celebrating the simplicity of a "popular" object as well as the Baroque period of the 18th century and its' excesses to the synthesis of the contemporary.  Her spaces represent proportion, harmony and balance as she approaches them with a meditative spirit inspired by the serenity of an Eastern philosophy.  She feels that what is not there is more important than what is, thereby achieving a tranquil and beautiful environment that is a celebration of the divine, so necessary in the hectic modern world we live in today.  The essence of Gloria's work is the interrelation between art and design; sharing in both worlds the same search for beauty and quality.
